What we’re looking for

Your piece — whether an article, essay, or column — should:

• Explore ideas — not promote beliefs
• Treat esotericism as a serious conversation partner to science, philosophy, history, religion, and culture
• Be accessible, without oversimplifying
• Raise questions rather than provide final answers

Writers may come from any background. What matters is how your perspective connects to the broader conversation.

Style & approach

• Write with curiosity, not certainty
• Be clear, readable, and engaging
• Use examples or stories to ground abstract ideas
• Avoid jargon — or explain it briefly
• A subtle provocative edge is welcome (never sensationalism)

We do not publish promotional, ideological, or belief-driven content.
Submissions must be original, respectful, and free from discriminatory, offensive, or explicitly political content.

Format

Language: English
Length: 800–1200 words (longer pieces welcome if well-structured and engaging)

Structure:

• Clear, engaging title (max. 60 characters)
• Short introduction
• Body, preferably with subheadings
• Closing reflection or question
• Optional: short explainer to clarify a concept or idea

Sources & images

• Include references where relevant (links or sources)
• Use only images you have rights to (prefer landscape)
• Suggested guideline: 1 image per 400 words
• For each image, include a caption and clearly state the source
• You may suggest a featured image for your piece

You are fully responsible for image rights and permissions; MarcoToday is not liable for copyright infringements.

Submission

Submit your piece via Word or Google Docs.

Please include:

• Your name (as you would like it to be published)
• A short bio (max. 30 words)
• One link (to your website or social profile)
• A recent, high-resolution profile photo
• Up to 5 relevant tags

We may edit for clarity and consistency, always in consultation with you. Titles and publication timing are decided together.

You retain the copyright to your work.

By submitting and publishing your contribution on MarcoToday, you grant MarcoToday a permanent, non-exclusive licence to publish, archive, and promote your work as part of the platform and its ongoing conversations.

Readers may respond to your piece.
Engaging is appreciated, but not required.
