MarcoToday is built around open, thoughtful conversation. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the platform.

1. Subscriptions & Payments

Membership tiers

MarcoToday currently offers three membership levels:

• Start (free)
• Go deeper (paid)
• Take part (paid)

Billing

Subscriptions and donations are processed securely through Stripe and NOWpayments.

By purchasing a paid subscription, you agree to the recurring billing cycle associated with your selected membership tier.

Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your member portal provided by Memberstack.

Cancellation prevents future billing and does not retroactively refund previous payments unless required by applicable law.

Refund policy

Except where required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable once access to digital content has been granted.

Cryptocurrency payments made through NOWpayments are irreversible and non-refundable.

Right of withdrawal (EU)

By purchasing immediate access to digital content, you expressly consent to the immediate performance of the service and acknowledge that you thereby lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under applicable EU consumer law.

Discounts & promotions

Promotional offers are subject to the terms displayed at the time of signup.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law, to create an account or purchase a subscription.

3. Content & Intellectual Property

Ownership

Unless otherwise stated, all original content created by MarcoToday, including podcasts, essays, event recordings, images, video, audio, branding, design, and other materials, is the intellectual property of MarcoToday.

Content contributed by third-party authors remains the intellectual property of its respective authors and is published under licence to MarcoToday.

Restrictions

You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, republish, modify, sell, or commercially use any content from MarcoToday without prior written permission from the relevant rights holder.

Copyright complaints

If you believe that copyright-protected material has been used unlawfully on the platform, please contact:

Please include:

• The URL of the allegedly infringing content
• A description of the work
• Your contact information
• A statement confirming your good-faith belief that the material is being used without authorization

4. Your Contributions

Contributor content & publication rights

Authors retain the copyright to their submitted work.

By submitting content to MarcoToday and agreeing to its publication, you grant MarcoToday a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, reproduce, distribute, display, archive, translate, promote, and otherwise use your contribution in connection with the MarcoToday platform and related communications.

This licence continues even if your contributor account is deleted or you later request the removal of your content. MarcoToday may, at its sole discretion, remove or edit content, but is under no obligation to do so upon request.

Because published contributions become part of MarcoToday's editorial archive and ongoing conversations, published articles and contributions generally cannot be withdrawn after publication except in exceptional circumstances and at MarcoToday's sole discretion.

Contributor warranties

By submitting content to MarcoToday, you represent and warrant that:

• You own or have obtained all necessary rights, permissions, and licences to the submitted content;
• The content does not infringe any intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of third parties;
• The content is not defamatory, unlawful, misleading, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MarcoToday from claims, damages, costs, and expenses arising from a breach of these warranties.

AI-generated content

Contributors must disclose when substantial portions of submitted content have been generated by artificial intelligence tools. MarcoToday reserves the right to reject or request revisions to such content.

Editorial rights

MarcoToday reserves the right to edit, format, shorten, translate, archive, remove, or otherwise modify submitted content for editorial, legal, technical, or operational reasons.

Editorial independence

While "Take part" members may influence topics, themes, or questions, MarcoToday retains full editorial control over all published content, programming, and editorial decisions.

Comments & community participation

If you comment on content or participate in live Q&A sessions, salons, workshops, or other community features, you grant MarcoToday a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and use that content within the platform and related communications.

Community guidelines

Please engage respectfully.

You may not post unlawful, abusive, hateful, threatening, misleading, harmful, discriminatory, or disruptive content.

MarcoToday reserves the right to remove content, restrict access, suspend accounts, or terminate memberships that violate these Terms or negatively affect the community experience.

5. Events & Live Sessions

MarcoToday may organize live Q&A sessions, salons, workshops, webinars, retreats, or other events

We reserve the right to modify, reschedule, record, or cancel events when necessary.

By participating in live sessions or events, you acknowledge that portions may be recorded and made available to members or used in related editorial or promotional communications unless otherwise stated.

6. Privacy

Personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please review our Privacy Policy for information about how personal data is collected, used, and protected.

7. External Links

MarcoToday may contain links to third-party websites or services.

We are not responsible for the content, availability, policies, or practices of third-party platforms.

8. Disclaimer & Liability

The content provided through MarcoToday is intended solely for informational, educational, and cultural purposes.

Nothing on the platform constitutes medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, or other professional advice.

Any decisions or actions taken based on the content remain entirely your own responsibility.

All services and content are provided "as is" and "as available."

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MarcoToday shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from the use of the platform, its services, events, or content.

9. Force Majeure

MarcoToday shall not be liable for delays, interruptions, cancellations, or failures resulting from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including technical failures, internet outages, government measures, natural disasters, illness, strikes, or other unforeseen events.

10. Suspension & Termination

MarcoToday reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts, memberships, or access to the platform in cases of violations of these Terms or conduct that harms the community or platform.

In cases of serious or repeated violations, access may be terminated without refund.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.

Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under the laws of your country of residence.

12. Updates

We may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.

Continued use of the platform after updates have been published constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
